Business schema checker: can AI tell what your business is?

Enter your website. We read the structured data (JSON-LD) on your homepage and show which business details are there, which are missing, and the code to add. Free, no email.

We read your homepage as PreferlyBot, along with your robots.txt and /llms.txt. How PreferlyBot behaves.

Write your structured data

Fill in what applies; empty details are left out.

<script type="application/ld+json">
{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@type": "LocalBusiness",
  "name": "",
  "url": ""
}
</script>
  • Paste it into your homepage’s <head>. Most website builders have a setting for code in the head; keep only one block for your business.
  • Keep every detail matching what your page says. Structured data that disagrees with the page is worse than none.

This tool answers one narrow question. To see what AI actually says about your business, and where AI contradicts your website, run the free check.

The short answer

Structured data is a short, machine-readable label in your page’s code that states your business name, type, address, phone and hours. Search engines and AI tools can read it without guessing from your page text. Put one LocalBusiness or Organization block on your homepage and keep it matching what the page says.

What this tool doesn’t cover

What AI actually says about your business, and where AI contradicts your website. The free check asks AI models the questions your customers ask and shows both.

Questions

What is JSON-LD?

A way to add structured data to a page: a short block of code in the page’s head that states facts like your business name, address and hours in a format machines read directly. It doesn’t change how the page looks.

Which schema type should a local business use?

LocalBusiness, or the most specific subtype that fits, such as Dentist, Restaurant or Plumber. A business without a public location, like an online service, uses Organization.

Does schema markup help with AI search?

It helps machines read your facts without guessing from your page text. It doesn’t guarantee that AI mentions you. Schema markup for AI search explains what it does and doesn’t do.

How is this different from Google’s Rich Results Test?

That test checks whether a page qualifies for Google’s search features. This tool grades the business details themselves: which are there, which are missing, and whether they match your page.

Where do I paste it?

In your homepage’s head section. Most website builders have a setting for code in the head; on a custom site, whoever maintains it can add it. Keep one block for your business, and update it when your details change.
